Doctor
Well our second doctor's appointment went well. We did our "history" which consists of asking me at least 150 questions and Iain about 5. It appears are if we're in good health. During my examination, the doctor was also able to hear the baby's movements and heartbeat by placing a fetal heart monitor on my belly. It was amazing how fast his/her heart went! The doctor pointed out the difference in the noise the heart made versus the sound of the baby's movements. All in all, it was very cool. Our next appointment is in about 4 weeks and we might be able to find out the baby's sex at that time. We were told it all depends upon which way the baby is facing. The prenatal nurse also said that the staff aren't allowed to put anything in writing which states the sex of the baby. She said that this has caused litigation suits in the past! We really don't mind if it's a boy or girl though, but yes, we are going to try and find out.
Iain and I hope that everyone is doing well and that you enjoy the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving. We'll be visiting family and friends in Uniontown for Turkey Day and we're definitely looking forward to Grandma's turkey (and cranberry sauce!). I'm off to Italy for work this coming week, but I'll be sure to eat some pasta for you! Ciao!
