Giving Thanks
Hi everyone! Well I am back from Italy and let me tell you, it is a great place. The food is fabulous, the scenery is gorgeous and the people are very friendly. They are totally fine if you can't speak Italian and actually most people seemed to know a lot of English. Now I can't vouch for all parts of the country as I was only in Rome and Florence, but if you can ever make it to either place, don't be worried about speaking or getting around (I only got lost once and rode the bus for about 45 minutes too long). Just learn the basics - hello, goodbye, toilet, taxi, etc. and you should be fine. The food is amazing and I'm sorry I couldn't enjoy the wine. Iain and I definitely have it on our places to go for vacation in the future so we'll sample it together post baby.
We'd like to wish everyone a very happy Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for everything we have, especially each other, our health and our family and friends. We really miss everyone and hope that you have the chance to sit down and relax with the people who mean the most to you. I realize my British family and friends won't be celebrating on Thursday but we'll be thinking about you and eating some good food for you.
